Semi-finalists will be asked to submit an expanded version of their initial submission to further explain their ideas. This version includes, but is not limited to:

• Explanation of the innovation
• A more detailed explanation of how the idea can become a viable, profitable business or will contribute to the sustainability of an existing business
• A preliminary marketing plan and an initial sales strategy
• Current and potential future competition
• Next steps to develop the product, process, or service

Semi-finalist submission is due by midnight on Friday, October 23, 2009. Semi-finalist submission should include up to 5 supporting visuals that illustrate the narrative. No specific visual format is required, but possible formats include scanned drawings, CAD drawings, and photographs. Visuals are to be mailed into:
